美國「極樂太空」(Elysium Space)公司，結合太空和殯葬業的專業人員，今年才在加州舊金山創辦，提供太空葬禮服務。
 
只要1990美元，約6萬台幣的費用，就能將你或是親友的部分骨灰送上外太空，運載骨灰的衛星會先繞行地球數個月，接著回到大氣層，就會燒成一團驚人的火球，往生者的家屬還能透過app，追蹤骨灰行蹤，還有機會觀看直播衛星發射。
 
想舉辦太空葬禮的，首先到他們的網站預約，對方就會寄給你一個膠囊，裝好骨灰再回寄給對方就完成了，不過目前僅接受美國境內的訂單，未來預計將陸續開放接受其他國家的預約。
