唱片公司的合作代理

有時候會在唱片公司的網站資料上看到他們也會發行其他唱片公司的專輯，例如像環球唱片有喜歡音樂、索尼唱片有相信音樂、華納有金牌大風、愛貝客思有海蝶音樂...等等，據說這種關係叫「合作代理」公司，而且一家唱片公司的合作公司最多會有2、3家

問題來了，請問：
1.合作公司是什麼意思？為什麼一家唱片公司會有那麼多合作公司？是這些合作公司製作唱片，請那些唱片公司發行嗎？
2.如果是簽給合作公司的歌手等於母公司的歌手嗎？例如簽約時簽給金牌大風等於為華納唱片旗下歌手
3.那合作公司的歌手在宣傳時，行程是哪一方在排的？
