世界大賽第6戰，皇家菜鳥Yordano Ventura繼第2戰後再度掛帥，7局無失分完全壓制巨人，這一戰他的帽子多了幾行字，仔細一看，是好友Oscar Taveras名字以及「R.I.P」的字樣，繳出精彩好投，Ventura要將這場比賽獻給Taveras。

除了帽子寫上Taveras的名字，Ventura也在手套上繡上好友的背號「18號」，以及「RIP」的字樣。

「 我是他很好的朋友，他和我的家人也都認識，得知這種消息真的很難過，這就是人生，我也沒辦法完全放下，但我盡力投出一場好球，將這場比賽獻給他。」Ventura說道。

此役Ventura用100球、58球好球投完7局，僅被敲3支安打，送出4次三振、5次四壞球保送，其中在第3局面臨危機，1出局後連丟3次四壞球保送，讓對方堆成滿壘，不過仍全身而退，讓Buster Posey擊出雙殺打、化解失分危機，最後以7局無失分的優質內容拿下勝投。
