黃金周四創13個月最大單日跌幅。美國上周初次申請失業金人數大減，投資人更加預期今年稍後，聯準會(Fed)將緊縮貨幣政策。

紐約2月黃金下跌31.30美元，或2.4%，收於每盎司1254.60美元。3月白銀下跌1.32美元，或7.3%，至每盎司16.77美元。

政府數據顯示，1月24日結束的一周，美國初次申請失業金人數大幅下降至26.5萬人，前一周為30.8萬人。該降幅大幅高於預期，並使得初次申請失業金人數創2000年以來低點。但經濟學家警告，馬丁路德金恩紀念日假日，可能影響了該數據。

美國股市反彈，及美元走強，亦削弱了黃金的避險吸引力。

昨日，Fed再度表示將於2015年年中升息，黃金價格因而受到壓力。

聯準會對經濟依舊樂觀，並認為成長穩定，且就業增加強勁。央行官員並重申，在緊縮貨幣政策方面，央行將具有耐心。

其他金屬交易方面，4月白金大跌41.20美元，或3.3%，至每盎司1217.30美元。3月鈀金下跌24.70美元至每盎司771.60美元。

3月銅下跌3美分，或1.1%，至每磅2.45美元。
