E組種子瑞士在分組最後1戰面臨「自助人助」局面，瑞士將在今凌晨4點出戰宏都拉斯，如想晉級，得先指望法國擊敗厄瓜多，這樣瑞士只要踢和就晉級，但若厄瓜多爆冷贏球，瑞士就算奪勝，也不見得能晉級。
 
瑞士的防守將是勝負關鍵，他們在分組賽前2戰就失掉6分，包括先前對法國2比5慘敗的震撼教育，幸好這場將對上已吞2連敗且2戰共僅拿1分的宏都拉斯，相信能減輕瑞士的防線壓力。（陳雍仁／綜合報導）
