新加坡建國總理李光耀逝世，外交部長林永樂代表政府表達哀悼，第一時間並請駐星國代表謝發達轉達總統馬英九及行政院長毛治國唁電。

新加坡總理公署今天凌晨宣布李光耀逝世，享壽91歲。林永樂接受中央社訪問時表示，駐星國代表第一時間回報，他並請駐星國代表謝發達轉達總統馬英九及行政院長毛治國唁電。

新加坡是中華民國非常重要的朋友，兩國有長久情誼，近年也簽署台星經濟夥伴協定（ASTEP），雙方關係非常密切，中華民國外交部表達哀悼，並向新加坡前總理李光耀家屬表達慰問之意。
