將首次在日本國內航班開通上網服務的日本航空公司(JAL)17日以各媒體為對象舉行了『羽田-福岡線』體驗搭乘會。機上提供無線WiFi服務，機身安裝有衛星通信專用天線。自23日起在連結羽田至函館、大阪、福岡的航班上，乘客若持有可連接WiFi的智慧手機或電腦，除起飛著陸時以外可自由上網。

中新網據日本TBS電視臺報導，首次使用時在日航專用主頁以姓名和郵箱位址登錄，可選擇30分鐘400日元，或選擇根據航班和機器的500至1200日元不等的套餐，用信用卡付費。

起飛約10分後可連接WiFi，記者體驗了在空中與地面一樣用電腦瀏覽網頁和收發郵件。但據悉，由於利用衛星線路，通信速度受限，不適於觀看影片。

據悉，日航、全日空、海外航空公司均已在國際航班上開通了WiFi服務。在日本國內航線上，今後日航將擴大該服務，此外全日空也在研究推出這一服務。
