Splat 是「Simple Program Launching and Termination」的縮寫，如同字面上的意思，主要功能就是用來開啟/執行/關閉檔案、應用程式或資料夾、文件、網址…用的。看起來有點類似 Mac 電腦中的 Automator 電腦自動化操作管理工具，不過 Splat 的功能比 Automator 簡單很多。

雖然 Splat 看起來相當簡單，不過還是可以輕易透過一些參數與其他預先設定好的腳本或應用程式方面的設計，讓我們在 Windows 電腦中輕鬆執行各種自動化任務。Splat 可執行的功能包括開啟軟體、開啟檔案或文件夾、開啟網址、關閉或殺掉指定程式或處理程序、在指定時間內執行動作、在達到指定 CPU 使用率後執行動作…等，此外每個任務都可自訂不同的鍵盤快速鍵組合，方便我們快速執行各種工作。
